Rating: 4 out of 5

Keepin’ it 100 [word count begins now]:

Based on the novel by Adam Nevill, this film about an illegal Mexican living in a boardinghouse illustrates the horror of our current society and about how its easy to prey on the invisible, the poor, and the female. The owner, Red, tells our protagonist that only women can live there. Why? To men, women are consumable, and this film depicts it in hellish, bloody fashion. Red’s brother Baker literally uses the women to ease his own discomfort and madness, by offering them to ancient god! Sobering, terrifying, weird, and vocal about its poverty commentary, I strongly recommend this one.
